St John's Primary School

The St John’s primary school in Dennington has added to its early years school with a stage 2 building which provides a learning environment for children that includes indoor and outdoor space that is rich with a sense of wanting to investigate, to find out and to explore, to solve problems and to reinvent their world.

The Stage 2 building includes Environmental Sustainable Design concepts with natural light and passive heating and cooling through the use of well sized and positioned windows; ceiling height and forms and insulated building fabric.

The building continues to be the only non-air conditioned school in Warrnambool, promoting a healthy indoor environment with fresh, naturally chilled air in summer and a warm, bright and functional space in winter.  It was designed by Jakob Kelly Architect and built by Seare Bros. Building Contractors.
