Warrnambool City Council is undertaking a final round of community consultation on the Draft Bushfield-Woodford Strategic Framework Plan.
The Strategic Framework Plan aims to provide a long term vision and framework to guide land use and development and manage the future growth of the settlements to a planning horizon of up to 20 years.
The Plan has been informed by the community through an online survey (October-November 2022), community drop-in session (March 2023) and a call for feedback on an early draft Plan (September-October 2023). Council also engaged directly with 11 stakeholders, among them Woodford Primary School, the Country Fire Authority, Telstra and Powercor.
Following this round of community consultation a final draft of the plan will be presented to Council for adoption later this year.
After the plan has been adopted, an implementation strategy detailing further studies required will also be presented to Council.
