Have your say on the Draft Allansford Transport and Access Strategy.
The Draft Strategy provides an evidence-based approach to planning safe traffic and pedestrian movement in Allansford in line with potential future growth and development of the area. It draws on information gathered over recent years for related planning documents including the 2023 Traffic Impact Assessment, the 2021 Allansford Strategic Framework Plan, the 2025 Transport and Access Review, the Allansford Recreation Reserve Master Plan, and engineering assessments of the Ziegler Parade Bridge.
Allansford’s projected population growth and the scheduled closure of the Ziegler Parade Bridge have been considered, along with feedback received from the Allansford community over recent years.
The Strategy makes recommendations for improvements to:
- Garabaldi Lane/Princes Highway west intersection
- Ziegler Parade
- The School Precinct
- Brown Street and Carrolls Road intersection
- Cycling and pedestrian movements
- Future residential areas
It contains 13 recommendations, 6 requiring Council advocacy for external funding.

How will your feedback be used?
Your comments will be considered when finalising the Strategy for Council adoption. Your comments will also be used to assist Council to advocate for external funding to implement the final recommendations.
