Light the Night

Creating a brighter and safer space for women to exercise in winter
Consultation Closed

This winter, South West Sport and Warrnambool City Council are lighting up Brierly Reserve during the early mornings and evenings to help create a brighter and safer space for women and girls to be active at times when it’s usually dark. By improving lighting and visibility, we hope to support women and girls to feel more confident walking, running, exercising, or participating in activities, while also creating a welcoming space for the broader community to stay active during the colder and darker months.

We want to hear from you!
Tell us what would help you feel safe and comfortable being active at Brierly Reserve, and what activities you would like to see. Your feedback will guide us in shaping activities that are welcoming, enjoyable, and reflective of what our community wants during Light the Night.
