To address Warrnambool's chronic housing shortage, Council is researching a Key Worker and Affordable Housing Project.
The proposal, should it proceed, would see the installation of 40 to 50 modular homes on Council-owned land along Harrington Road.
Half of the homes would be made available for key workers and the other half would be affordable housing for low income earners.
The homes would be made available through a lease agreement with an affordable housing agency for a period of 10 to 15 years.
In early 2024 Council will consult further with the community on this project.
