Council is developing a new long-term land use strategy, Warrnambool Futures, which will guide sustainable and balanced growth over the coming decades.
Over the next two decades Warrnambool is expected to gain a further 2,700 homes while the city's population is on track to reach about 41,000.
Council wants the community to have say in Warrnambool Futures, to ensure that new housing, businesses, transport, and community spaces reflect the needs and values of our community.
You can get involved by attending one of two Warrnambool Futures workshops, the details are below.
To help guide conversation around Warrnambool Futures, a State of Warrnamboolreport has been prepared.
It provides an overview of existing growth plans, changes in our demographic profile, our health and wellbeing, housing affordability and the economy.
Warrnambool Futures will replace the most recent long-term land use strategy which was completed in 2004.
